President goodluck jonathan says the country will be in turmoil had the former general died

President Goodluck Jonathan on Sunday said the country would have been in turmoil if former head of state, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and renown Islamic cleric, Sheik Dahiru Bauchi had died in the twin bombings in Kaduna.He thanked God for saving their lives and averting what he described as a major calamity for the country, even as he acknowledged the fact that the All Progressive Congress (APC) leader is a leading political figure and the Islamic cleric has massive supporters and millions of followers respectively.Speaking when a group of Muslim faithful within the FCT led by Vice President Namadi Sambo paid him Sallah homage to mark the 2014 Eid-el-Fitr celebration in his residence at the presidential villa, Abuja on Sunday, the president said if the dare devil Boko Haram sect had succeeded in killing the duo, the country would have been on fire.
