Hours after the police in Kano detonated Improvised Explosive Devices laden in a Peugeot car near Sheikh Isyaka Rabi’u’s mosque, two blasts occurred at St. Charles Catholic Church, Zungeru road, Sabon Gari and at Kofar Nassarawa, near a newly constructed flyover, all within the metropolis.Confirming the blasts the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Aderenle Shinaba revealed that five persons were killed at the church blast while eight others sustained various degrees of injury. A female suicide bomber was said to be involved in the explosion at Nasarawa flyover. At the Saint Charles Catholic Church, the terrorists were said have to used a primary school behind the church where worshippers parked their vehicles, as they could not get access to the church premises.They threw the explosives from behind which led to the death of five persons, with eight others sustaining injuries of various degrees.
