An enraged constable in Nengere local government area of Yobe State killed two police inspectors. The incident occurred around 6.40 am when the inspectors were about to hand over morning duty inside Nengere police station.
The constable refused to take orders from the inspectors following which they detained the constable in the station cell.
“It’s connected to the case of one Fulani man that stabbed his brother at Tarajim village, the inspector ordered the constable to take the wounded detainee to hospital but he refused,” a police source said told a Daily Trust reporter
“The constable turned wild when they took him to the cell, he seized a gun from the counter and shot Ishaku Elam first and followed Musa Mohammed Dalleri outside the office and shot him before shooting himself,”
the other policemen on duty ran for cover to avoid the constable’s rage.
The Yobe State police spokesman, ASP Toyin Gbadegesin, who confirmed the incident, said the two inspectors were confirmed dead but the constable was rushed to the hospital in critical condition where he later died. The corpses of the two inspectors and the constable are currently in Potiskum General Hospital morgue.
Sounds like he had a break down.
