Suleiman Abdullahi, the Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) in Kogi State has decried the poor conditions of service they are being subjected to by the government. NUT, Kogi State chapter, engaged in a peaceful protest to the Attah Igala, Chief Micheal Oboni, over alleged poor conditions of service.
Abdullahi said a teacher recently died after he was unable to raise N3,000 to offset his medical bills after being owed salaries and other entitlements.
The protesting teachers appealed to the monarch to help urge the government to pay their entitlements and outstanding salaries.
