Alhaji Hassan Alao, who sympathized with the people over the unfortunate incident said the Yoruba community identified with the displaced people by donating relief materials to ease their current hardship.
According to him “We feel the pain of the displaced people, that is why we decided to present this token as our own contribution to assist the people. It is not this little gift that matters but the spirit behind it."
"The victims are in serious need of it," he said.
He later called on the people to take what happened as the will of God and prayed for the restoration of peace in the state and all over the country.
Chairman of the sub-committee for displaced people in NYSC camp, Abba Yarama Bukar, received the items on behalf of the displaced people and thanked the Yoruba community for identifying with the plight of the people in this crucial time.
